East Maple

I’ve tried things before. They’ve flopped. They’ve failed. Chance are this little experiment will meet the same demise. Only time will tell.

For a while I’ve wanted to write more. If you aren’t aware, I wrote a book once. I don’t say that so you’ll go buy it (but if you are interested in doing so, I can’t stop you – you can get it here). I bring that up because I remember thoroughly enjoying the writing process. Because it’s not a muscle I’ve exercised as of late, I’m a bit rusty but I can honestly say I miss it. So I’ve decided to start a blog.

I know, another blog. The internet’s filled with blogs. Why another one? First, the internet has many blogs – but only a fraction of those internet voices adhere to the system of beliefs that I do. (More on that later – maybe a blog post?) Second, I just like writing. You should try it sometime.

East Maple holds a special place in my heart. It’s where I grew up, learned about Jesus, and gave my life to him. So that’s what we’ll call this little venture. I intend on East Maple becoming many things: a blog, a video podcast, and a few other things. For now, I’ll stick to writing.
